Biography
Dr. Junliang Liu underwent his radiation oncology residency in University of Manitoba, Canada from year 2000 to 2005. Since July 2005, he has been an attending radiation oncologist working at CancerCare Manitoba, Canada. He was the radiation oncology residency program director from 2006 to 2012. Dr. Liu earned a Ph.D., and conducted post-doctoral research in immunology. His publications included the one in Nature Medicine and PNAS. His current research interest is the treatment outcomes of gastrointestinal malignancies, breast cancer, and metastatic cancer.

Treatment outcome analyses in breast and gastrointestinal malignancies with emphasis on prognostic factors.
Biography
Dr. Polly Chen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anatomy and a principle investigator at the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore, National University of Singapore where she directs a research lab studying human cancers, particularly liver cancer. Her group currently focuses on the identification of key RNA editing events and translating these findings into diagnoses and even treatment. In addition, she has begun collaborating with local and international researchers to study the roles of RNA editing enzyme ADARs and their substrates in different types of human cancers, such as esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), Gastric cancer and acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

Biography
Dr. Lingzhi Wang is a Senior Research Scientist at the Cancer Science Institute of Singapore and an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS). Dr. Wang obtained his M.Med. in Medicinal Chemistry from Chongqing Medical University in 1993. He continued his postgraduate studies in NUS and obtained his M.Sc. in Pharmacy and Ph.D. in Pharmacology in 2003 and 2008, respectively. Dr. Wang received the Medical Research Scientist Award from the National Medical Research Council (NMRC Singapore) in 2005, and the PhD Graduate Research Excellence Award from the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) at its Annual Meeting in 2008 (USA). To date, he is the author of over 70 research papers, including articles in Cell, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Clinical Cancer Research, Trends in Pharmacology, and Trends in Biotechnology etc.
Research Interest
His research interests are in the development of novel combination therapies against a variety of cancers, identification of anticancer agents from natural products, preclinical cancer pharmacology, and discovery of bio-fluid exosomal biomarkers for cancer diagnosis.
